Busy bees family activity day
Summary: All ages welcome at The Priest’s House
The Priest’s House Museum & Garden in Wimborne is hosting a Busy Bees family activity day on Tuesday 30 May from 10am to 2pm.
Bee-themed activities include making a bee garden using paper plates and sunflower designs and a fashionable bee headband. The younger visitors will also be able to experiment with honeycomb printing and create a bee inspired bag. The Victorian kitchen will be creating some interesting drinks made using honey, while a bee trail will take visitors into the museum’s walled garden.
A beekeeper will be on hand to tell visitors more about those friendly, industrious garden visitors, and they will be challenged to find the ‘queen’ bee in the virtual beehive.
The museum’s new exhibition How Does Your Garden Grow? will be open, appealing to green fingered visitors of all ages.
The Garden Tea Room will serve light savoury snacks, delicious cakes, cream teas and drinks. Admission is £1.75 per person (annual ticket not valid), which includes entrance to the museum and garden.
