Celebrating the Charter of the Forest 1217
Summary: At St Mary's Church Alvediston
St Mary's Church Alvediston is playing host to a celebration of the 800th anniversary of the Charter of the Forest 1217 with Tim Lacock, a Thomas Hardy expert and singer, and Colin Thompson, a Lutanist and violin player. There will be prose and poetry with traditional fiddle music and folksong in the candlelit church.Tim will read passages from Nicholas Robinson's book on the Charter during the first half of the proceedings.
The AONB's Project Development Officer David Blake will be exhibiting his wildlife photogrphas from 2pm.
