French travelling market comes to Tisbury
Summary: Traditional French food and goods available on the High Street
For the first time in Tisbury, France at Home, a French travelling market, will be bringing first class produce and great service to Tisbury High Street.
This event takes place on Saturday 24 March, from 9am.
You can make a day of it and enjoy a French breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try a traditional French croissant, or a crèpe made in front of you, or some biscuits. For lunch, tasty French cheeses and baguette, or ‘Tartiflette’, a famous cheese, bacon and potato dish from the French Alps, will be on offer. For dinner, try Cuisses de Canard – canned duck, ready to cook – just add potatoes and vegetables for a delicious French meal from South West France. Or you can try sausages and some olives for a light meal, just with salad, adding sauces from the delicatessen stall.
There are plenty of other stalls to choose from offering a wide selection of goods, such as Provençal soaps, vintage music CD’s, bags and purses, basketware, scarves, hats and so much more.
The traders from ‘France at Home’ cross the Channel every week from France to hold their popular French Markets in England. Don’t miss this opportunity to come and say ‘bonjour’.
