Ancient Technology Centre - Cranborne

The Ancient Technology Centre (ATC) is an inspiring educational Centre which comprises numerous reconstructed buildings from throughout history. They have been built with the help of more than 80,000 school children and older volunteers.

The ATC examines all of the things that people take so much for granted in the modern age. Visiting School groups can grind wheat to make stone ground flour, make felt from wool, baskets from willow, or rope from brambles, build fences from hazel, use an Iron Age plough, or be a blacksmith or a potter for a day. Booking is essential.
