Cycle Routes

Below are a selection of cycle routes in the AONB. We strongly recommend use of the appropriate Ordnance Survey map, and ask that you respect the environment you are cycling in.

Please send us any details on cycle routes with information on distance, terrain etc, together with any images and we'll be delighted to add them to the site so more people can discover our varied and beautiful landscape.

East Dorset Cycle Routes book

East Dorset Cycleways Book

A practical and useful clip file of cycle routes suitable for mountain or hybrid bikes, varying in distance from 4.5 miles to 12 miles with useful terrain guides and points of interest marked on each one. Routes currently featured include Horton Tower, Castleman Trailway, Badbury Rings, Witchampton, Cranborne Chaser and Sixpenny Handley.

These are available by ringing the office for £3.95 each or alternatively from Tourist Information Centres or Moors Valley Visitor Centre.

Pamphill Dorset

A largely rural circuit of about 18 miles with scenic, historical and architectural interest. There are opportunities for local deviations.

A circuit of some 25 miles of rustic roads and a mix of rural terrain with some expansive views.
