Funding & Grants

The AONB Team administers two grants for which you can apply: the Local Action Fund and the Sustainable Development Fund. In this section you will find application forms and guidance notes for both of them. You can also look at examples of the type of projects for which we have previously awarded grants.

The Local Action Fund usually makes awards in the region of £50 to £1,000 for community projects that have the backing or involvement of the Parish Council. The Sustainable Development Fund makes similar or larger awards and is open to business and individuals as well as community groups.

You can find everything you need to begin your application on this web site, but to be successful you will have to put some time and a good deal of thought into your application. Both these funds are highly competitive and there are more applicants than there are funds to go around each year.
