Bush Farm Bison Centre

Larmer Tree Gardens
Beautifully laid out gardens in the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880, with café and shop. An extraordinary example of Victorian extravagance.
From the magnificent main lawn radiate wide laurel-hedged rides which take you to the tranquil woodland beyond. In spring a wonderful display of Camellias, Rhododendrons and woodland planting is there to be enjoyed.
The Larmer Tree contains a wonderful collection of ornate buildings retained in an enchanting and tranquil atmosphere.

Old Wardour Castle
Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside beside a lake, these 14th Century castle ruins provide a relaxed, romantic day out for couples, families and budding historians alike.
The original castle was partially destroyed during the Civil War. Learn about its eventful past on the fascinating audio trail. Children will love to explore the grotto and castle rooms or imagine themselves starring in the Hollywood Blockbuster, Prince of Thieves, part of which was filmed here. Family fun trails through the summer months and events programme throughout the year.

Stourhead House & Gardens
Discover the unforgettable magic of this world-famous 18th century landscape garden, Palladian mansion, parkland, woods and chalk downs.
Created by Henry Hoare II in the 1740s who dammed The River Stour to form a great lake. Around the lake Hoare laid out a landscape garden for serene walking and as the garden developed, he added classical features such as Neo-classical temples, including the Pantheon & Temple of Apollo, grottos and bridges which adorn the one mile walk along the central lake.
Explore the 2,650 acre Stourhead Estate’s chalk downs, ancient woods and wildlife, and then you can visit the restaurant, shop, pub, art gallery and farm shop.

Win Green
At 277 metres, Win Green is the highest point in the Cranborne Chase AONB.
Up by the beech clump on Win Green you are on the very roof of Wiltshire, gazing round over an 80-mile view from the long blue hump of the Isle of Wight in the south-east to the round brows of the Quantock Hills far in the north-west.
Woods, fields, ridges, villages and houses and wide panoramic views are a key feature of this viewpoint.
There is free parking at the top of Win Green.
