What is the Partnership?

In its broadest terms, the AONB Partnership includes everyone who lives and works in the area, all those who visit it or have an interest in it, together with all the Local Authorities, government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and a wide range of interest groups.

For the Partnership to operate effectively, representatives from those diverse organisations sit on various groups and have different jobs to do.

An annual AONB Forum brings together the widest range of interested people to discuss and debate a topical issue; the Partnership Panel guides the implementation of the Management Plan; Topic Groups meet regularly to progress work set out in the Action Plans for each year; a Technical Advice Group offers advice and support to the AONB team, whose task it is to ensure targets in the Management Plan are met.
